Squaw Valley holds the title as the largest ski resort in North Lake Tahoe. Several recent additions and renovations will boost your winter experience at Squaw Valley. The resort has replaced the Shirley Lake detachable quad with a high-speed Doppelmayr six-person lift (the new lift will follow the traditional line, with loading and unloading at the usual spots). The Riviera superpipe, which has been dug out of the ground, will be surrounded with lights, giving Squaw the only night-time access superpipe in the Tahoe area.

What's New: New Electronic Ticketing System: SmartCard technology, the new Axess Smart Gates system lets you leave your ticket or pass in your pocket – it’s scanned automatically when passing sensors, upon approaching the lifts.
