Skiing and Snowboarding in Canada

Canada: Canada has some of the best skiing and riding in the entire world. With jagged mountains, tons of snow, and fantastic scenery, it is the perfect place for a winter vacation. Many U.S. skiers head to Canada to enjoy the benefits of traveling and skiing in a different country without having to go all the way to Europe or elsewhere. British Columbia is by far the best place to ski in Canada. The province is known for its steep mountain ranges and epic amounts of snow. British Columbia is home to Whistler Blackcomb, which is one of the top resorts in North America. You can spend day after day exploring long cruisers, chutes, big bowls, and glades at Whistler Blackcomb. The resorts in Alberta are known for their extraordinarily long seasons and spectacular scenery; notable Alberta ski areas include Sunshine Village, Lake Louise, and Mt. Norquay. Ontario is home to some of Canada’s smaller resorts that make for a nice getaway. Fantastic ski resorts can be found in Quebec, as well: Le Massif, Mont Saint-Sauveur, Stoneham, and Mont-Sainte-Anne are all an easy drive from Quebec City. Tremblant, near Montreal, is also a fine resort in Quebec. Getting around Canada is fairly easy for Americans, and a foreign experience makes for a memorable ski trip.
