Marquette Mountain: Located just a few miles south of Marquette (the major city in the Upper Peninsula) is Marquette Mountain. The mountain is served by three lifts that provide access to 169 acres of skiable terrain. There are 25 trails and three terrain parks at Marquette, and much of the mountain is available for night skiing. Marquette Mountain is known for its lake-effect snow from nearby Lake Superior. In addition to the 210 inches (on average) of annual natural snowfall, the mountain also makes some snow of its own.
