Welch Village: Welch Village ski area is located near Red Wing. The ski area is home to the Welch Village Invitational, which is one of the largest high school alpine ski meets in the United States. The Welch Village ski area is served by nine lifts and offers 50 trails, providing ample terrain for skiers and riders of all ability levels. Welch Village features two terrain parks and a halfpipe for the park lovers. To augment its stash of natural snow, Welch Village uses artificial snowmaking equipment.
