New England Storm Delivers 12+ Inches, Resorts Deliver Pre-Holiday Deals
The first major storm of the season rolled through New England this week, leaving behind more than a foot of snow on the slopes some outstanding skiing and snowboarding conditions.
Most importantly though, the storm put down a solid base and pulled in sustained cold temperatures for resorts to continue round-the-clock snowmaking, setting resorts up to offer a significant amount of terrain for the upcoming holiday break.
Vermont’s Killington Resort was one of the big winners, piling up 22 inches during the two-day storm. The new snow, combined with one of the most extensive snowmaking systems in the world, allowed the resort to expands to 67 open trails. Check out the latest deals for Killington with savings up to 64-percent off walk-up ticket window rates, including 50-percent savings on two-day tickets! Yes, there is so much terrain open at the Beast of the East, you will need two days to take it all in!
Just down Vermont’s Route 100, Okemo Mountain Resort picked up 16 inches of snow and continues to expand terrain on a daily basis. Okemo is offering one-day tickets with up to 53-percent savings.
The heavy snow also buried resorts throughout the Granite State, with Bretton Woods and Waterville Valley each receiving 15 inches. Bretton Woods is offering one-day adult lift tickets at up to 57-percent off, so you can use that extra cash and make a weekend out of it and stay at the iconic Mount Washington Hotel!
Close to Boston and Manchester, NH, ski patrol at Waterville Valley is dropping ropes and opening trails daily. Grab the kids and save up to 55-percent off one-day lift tickets.
Cranmore picked up eight inches of new snow, and combined with fresh snow the prior weekend, continues to open terrain on a daily basis. Cranmore is also offering some of the best deals on GetSkiTickets.com with savings of more than 80-percent off single-day lift tickets. Ski during the day and splash in the evening at the Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park at Red Jacket Resort in North Conway.
