Vail Resorts Announces Acquisition of Tahoe Area Resort

Vail Resorts Inc. (based in Broomfield, CO) has acquired Northstar-at-Tahoe Resort in California for a reported $63 million in cash. The company announced the news on Monday (10/25/10). Vail Resorts also operates Heavenly in California and Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone in Colorado.

Holders of Vail Resorts’ Epic Pass, which offers unlimited access to those ski areas plus Arapahoe Basin in Colorado, will also get unrestricted access this season to Northstar-at-Tahoe and to Sierra-at-Tahoe.
