If you’re planning to ski, snowboard, or telemark in the Aspen, CO area this winter, there is some potentially good news for those seeking shorter lift lines on the ski slopes. Both Frontier and Delta have announced that will discontinue service to Aspen; United Airlines will be the only airline servicing this famous Colorado ski town.

Tourism officials anticipate that the price of a flight into Aspen will rise significantly this winter. The likely effect of the price hike is a decrease in the number of skiers on the mountain. Here’s a tip: locals anticipate fewer skiers and riders at the following Aspen area resorts: Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Buttermilk, and Snowmass.

If you’re looking to get away from the crowds from this year it’s time to start thinking about planning a trip to Aspen.
