We hit Mammoth at just the right time after a huge week of snow and before the weekend, which was expected to be packed. The skiing is world class if you avoid the crowds. One of the BEST parts of our trip was scoring our lift tickets from They were incredibly helpful and the discount was significant! Hesitant as I am to let out the secret of this website (for fear that they will sell out of lift tickets for future trips), I have to give them a big shout out!

    Pros : Great Park
    Cons : Very busy

This is an amazing park. With the great deal I scored on Get Tickets, it was super affordable as well. Lots of steep difficult runs and some easier runs for beginners too. the runs are long and the lines for lifts are efficiently managed.

This is a HUGE park that has people from all levels. The downside is that not everyone is well versed in the appropriate distance that is needed to stay safe and it is a busy park. Be aware of this fact when deciding to take beginners or children.

Snow was little sparse the first day but with 12" of fresh snow on was awesome

Pros : The most terrain of any place around here. They do a great job of moving people on the mountain. The days of waiting for hours are gone!
    Cons : Too expensive

Some of the best skiing in this country.

Pros : Well-run and huge amounts of different levels of runs.
    Cons : Costly!

This has been a terrible snow year, but Mammoth has done a terrific job of managing their snow-making and keeping even the lower portions of the mountain ski-able. We visited for 4 days, with daytime temps up to 50, but 60% of the mountain was ski-able.

    Mammoth Mountain

Pros : Great Terrain from beginner to expert!
Cons : When there isn't a lot of snow, there can be a lot of rocks

This is a great resort for families, to park riders, to downhill powder enthusiasts. And after a day on the mountain there’s always a great place to relax and have even more fun! Overall a fantastic city and a fantastic resort.
