Located only 13 miles outside Provo is Sundance Resort. Did you know that its name came from Robert Redford and, more specifically, his role in the film Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid? Sundance is known for its spectacular scenery. Most of the resort’s terrain is geared toward advanced skiers: with steep terrain and plenty of snow, Sundance is a powder hound’s dream playground. The mountain is served by three chairlifts. Sundance is one of those places people don’t tell their friends about because it is truly something special.
Minimal crowds and great terrain leave powder for days after the storm. The front mountain is great for beginner and intermediate skiers and the back mountain is for the advanced skiers and snowbaorders. Awesome food and it is well priced. Fun shops, and now the Winter zipline is a must! We will always be coming back to Sundance.
